Cleanser

Good Molecules: Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel

DESCRIPTION:

The Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel from Good Molecules contains gentle surfactants (ingredients responsible for removing dirt from the skin) and is pH-balanced. Latter means that the pH of the product is around 5.5 and therefore similar to your skin's pH. This makes the product gentle. Furthermore, the gel cleanser contains rose water. Since it makes 1.0% of the product, it won't significantly improve your skin. Anyways, it's a nice basic and gentle gel cleanser.

WHO IS IT FOR:

All skin conditions

USE:

Suitable for your AM and PM skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Instant Cleansing Balm

DESCRIPTION:

The Instant Cleansing Balm from Good Molecules is based on the fatty acid ester Ethylhexyl Palmitate (a mix of the fatty acid, palmitic acid, and a moisturizing fatty alcohol). It also contains small amounts of lovely plant oils (green tea seed oil, buckthorn oil) and shea butter.

WHO IS IT FOR:

All skin conditions

USE:

Drier skin types can use this balm in the mornings and evenings. Oilier skin types can use this product in the evenings. Just make sure to follow with a water-based cleanser (cleansing gel or foaming cleanser) to avoid clogged pores and breakouts (so-called double cleansing method).

Good Molecules: Pineapple Exfoliating Powder

DESCRIPTION:

The Pineapple Exfoliating Powder contains pineapple fruit extract and papain (derived from papaya). These ingredients are so-called proteolytic enzymes and are responsible for exfoliation. Enzyme exfoliants are usually gentle (compared to other types of exfoliants).

WHO IS IT FOR:

All skin conditions

USE:

Use this exfoliant on a clean face. Mix a teaspoon of the powder with a few drops of water in the palm of your hand. Massage it onto your face and rinse off. Start using it 2 times per week. Use it more frequently if your skin can tolerate more.

Toner & Essence

Good Molecules: Niacinamide Brightening Toner

DESCRIPTION:

The Niacinamide Brightening Toner is one of the most popular products from Good Molecules. It's packed with ingredients that can brighten the skin and fade hyperpigmentation. The main ingredients responsible for the brightening effect are: Niacinamide, Arbutin, Vitamin C, and Licorice Root Extract.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Hyperpigmentation, oily skin, combination skin, acne-prone skin (pimples), dry skin, anti-aging, fine lines & wrinkles, redness-prone skin

USE:

Apply the toner on clean skin before (a serum and) a moisturizer. Since the toner contains 2% Arbutin, incorporate it slowly into your routine to avoid irritations. Start using it every other day. Use it more frequently if your skin can tolerate more.

Good Molecules: Glycolic Exfoliating Toner

DESCRIPTION:

This toner contains Glycolic Acid (AHA). Glycolic Acid is a well-researched and powerful ingredient. It exfoliates your skin's surface and provides additional benefits, such as hydration (Glycolic Acid is a water-binding ingredient). Since the toner contains 3.5% Glycolic Acid, it's a great gentle product that is also suitable for exfoliation-beginners.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Dull & lackluster skin, dry skin, acne-prone skin, clogged pores (especially whiteheads)

USE:

Apply the toner on clean skin before (a serum and) a moisturizer. Since the toner is very gentle, it can be used daily in your morning or nighttime skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Essence

DESCRIPTION:

The Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Essence is all about hydration. It contains three different types of hyaluronic acid (Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid). Hyaluronic Acid can hold 1,000 times its weight in water. This makes your skin look plump and youthful.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Dry skin, dehydrated skin, fine lines & wrinkles, oily or combination skin that paradoxically feels dry and tight.

USE:

An essence is similar to a toner. Apply it on clean skin before a serum and moisturizer.

Serum

Good Molecules: Discoloration Correcting Serum

DESCRIPTION:

This serum contains Niacinamide and Tranexamic Acid to treat discolorations such as hyperpigmentation. Niacinamide is a well-researched ingredient with proven brightening effects. On the other hand, Tranexamic Acid is a relatively new (but promising) ingredient to fade hyperpigmentation.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Hyperpigmentation

USE:

Use this serum after a cleanser (and toner - if you're using one). Apply a few drops (2-3) on your entire face. Suitable for your morning and evening skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Hyaluronic Acid Serum

DESCRIPTION:

The serum contains Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate). Hyaluronic Acid is a water-binding ingredient. It acts like a little sponge, which attracts water into the skin and holds it in place. This makes your skin more plump, glowing, and youthful.

WHO IS IT FOR:

All skin conditions

USE:

Apply this serum after a cleanser (and toner - if you're using one). Suitable for your AM and PM skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Niacinamide Serum

DESCRIPTION:

Niacinamide is a great multitasker. Depending on the product formulation (all the ingredients in a product), it can fight several skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, oily skin, or signs of skin aging. This product contains 10% Niacinamide, which makes it pretty powerful.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores

USE:

Apply the Niacinamide serum after a cleanser (and toner - if you're using one). Suitable for your AM and PM skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Super Peptide Serum

DESCRIPTION:

This product contains peptides to fight signs of skin aging. Peptides are relatively new ingredients. More researches are desirable.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Anti-aging

USE:

Apply the Super Peptide Serum after a cleanser (and toner - if you're using one). Suitable for your AM and PM skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Daily Brightening Serum

DESCRIPTION:

The Daily Brightening Serum contains two key ingredients: Arbutin and Licorice Root Extract. Both ingredients are responsible for the brightening effect. Arbutin is a well-known and researched ingredient when it comes to hyperpigmentation. Licorice Root Extract, on the other hand, is less studied but a very promising ingredient.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Hyperpigmentation

USE:

Apply this serum after a cleanser (and toner - if you're using one). Suitable for your AM and PM skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Overnight Exfoliating Treatment

DESCRIPTION:

The Exfoliating Treatment contains a mix of Alpha Hydroxy Acids, aka AHAs (Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid), and Beta Hydroxy Acids, aka BHAs (Salicylic Acid). This mix of ingredients makes it possible to remove excess dead skin cells from the skin surface and also penetrate into the pores to clean them from within. The product is pretty powerful since the product contains 8% Glycolic Acid, 1% Lactic Acid, and 0.1% Salicylic Acid.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, acne-prone skin, acne, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, wrinkles & fine lines. PAY ATTENTION WITH SENSITIVE SKIN.

USE:

Start using the product 1 - 2 times per week. Use it more frequently if your skin can tolerate more (no irritations). If your skin is sensitive, mix it with your moisturizer. Otherwise, mix it with a serum (f.ex. Hyaluronic Acid Serum).

Good Molecules: Vitamin C Booster Powder

DESCRIPTION:

Vitamin C, also known as Ascorbic Acid, is probably the most potent antioxidant. This means that it fights free radicals and prevents skin aging. Since this product is a powder, it can be mixed with other gentle skincare products such as serums and moisturizers.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Hyperpigmentation, signs of aging, anti-aging, dull & lackluster skin

USE:

Mix a small amount of this powder with your gentle moisturizer (if your skin is sensitive) or serum. Incorporate it slowly into your routine. A tingling sensation is normal. If your skin gets irritated or dry, try using less of the product. Use the powder preferably in your morning routine.

Eye treatments

Good Molecules: Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches

DESCRIPTION:

The Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches are all about brightening the under-eye area. The product contains Niacinamide (brightening) and caffeine (improves dark circles). Ingredients such as sugar, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe, and Amino Acids are supposed to hydrate the skin. It also contains Green Tea Extract, which acts as an antioxidant. However, since Green Tea makes <1.0% of the product, it won't significantly improve your skin.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Dry & dehydrated skin, hyperpigmentation

USE:

Apply on clean, dry skin for 10-15 minutes. Gently remove the patches and massage the remaining serum into the skin. Use it when your skin needs it. Suitable for your morning and nighttime skincare routine.

Moisturizers and Face oils

Good Molecules: Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer

DESCRIPTION:

A moisturizer with shea butter and a small amount of Macadamia Oil. It's silicone-free, alcohol-free, and fragrance-free. A great protective moisturizer that can be applied on top of potent serums.

WHO IS IT FOR:

All skin concerns. Patch test the product if your skin type is on the oilier side.

USE:

Apply the moisturizer after your serum (and before your face oil - if you're using one).

Good Molecules: BHA Clarify Gel Cream

DESCRIPTION:

This gel-cream contains 0.4% Salicylic Acid. Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA). It penetrates into the pores and cleans them from within. Perfect for acne, acne-prone skin, and clogged pores (blackhead). The product also contains small amounts of soothing ingredients (Allantoin, Bisabolol, Centella Asiatica, Green Tea), antioxidants (Green Tea, Grape Seed Oil), as well as brightening ingredients (Licorice). However, since the concentration of these ingredients is <1.0%, they won't significantly improve your skin.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Acne-prone skin, acne, clogged pores (blackheads)

USE:

Apply the moisturizer after your serum (and before your face oil - if you're using one).

Good Molecules: Gentle Retinol Cream

DESCRIPTION:

The moisturizer is formulated with 0.1% Retinol (Vitamin A). Vitamin A is probably one of the most potent and well-researched anti-aging ingredients. The downside: it can irritate your skin. Side effects such as burning, peeling, dryness, and redness are possible. That's probably why this product also contains soothing and repairing ingredients such as Allantoin, Sunflower Oil, and Green Tea. Another ingredient that is present in the product is Bakuchiol. Bakuchiol is known as a plant-based alternative to Retinol. But attention, it is less researched than Retinol.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Anti-aging, wrinkles & fine lines

USE:

Apply the moisturizer after your serum (and before your face oil - if you're using one). Incorporate the product slowly into your routine to minimize side effects. In the beginning, use it twice a week. Increase the frequency if your skin can tolerate more. Use the product in the PM skincare routine.

Good Molecules: Bakuchiol Oil Blend For Dry Skin

DESCRIPTION:

Bakuchiol is known as a plant-based alternative to Retinol (Vitamin A). If you're not familiar with Vitamin A, read the product description of the 'Gentle Retinol Cream' (above). The product also contains Rosehip Oil (anti-aging, soothing) and Chia Oil (soothing).

Good Molecules: Bakuchiol Oil Blend For Oily Skin

DESCRIPTION:

The product contains Bakuchiol as its key ingredient. Bakuchiol is known as a plant-based alternative to Retinol (Vitamin A). Good Molecules: Squalane Oil

DESCRIPTION:

Squalane is a skin-identical ingredient. Human sebum contains 13% Squalene as one of its major components. Squalane can be derived from plant oils such as olive oil or amaranth.

WHO IS IT FOR:

All skin conditions, also acne-prone skin.

USE:

Apply the oil as the last step in your routine (after moisturizer, before sunscreen).

Hope this Good Molecules Review can help you 🙂
